DIG is absolutely delighted to share that we have been successful in securing £200,000 from East Ayrshire Council’s allocation of the UK government’s Pride in Place impact fund (PiPIF).
East Ayrshire Council is one of just eight local authorities across Scotland to receive this capital funding which is to be used specifically to create, restore and enhance spaces of community value.
Thanks to this support, we hope to be able to replace the existing Sir Alexander Fleming Memorial in Hastings Square Darvel, creating a place that local people can be proud of now and for the years to come.
